Pilates

Our Pilates classes derive from the traditional Pilates Method, but also include contemporary Pilates and functional exercises, in order to meet the growing demands of modern lifestyles. Karen will guide you through the class, with a series of exercises that strengthen, mobilise, and stretch you, alternatives and modifications will be given throughout the class.

This class is designed to ease you into the week ahead, ready for all the new possibilities the new week may bring. this is a great class for new yogis to begin their yoga journey as well as experienced yogis who wish to enjoy time on the mat.

dynamic yoga

This class is designed to turn your world upside down. With carefully sequenced yoga flows, that will build strength, flexibility, with a strong focus to arm balances and inversions.

Intermediate/advanced

 

Yin Yang Yoga

Beginning with a Yang (Vinyasa) Sequence to challenge the body to move with flow and strength, moving and warming muscles, increasing the heart rate and boosting blood flow. The Yin sequences that follow and close the practice are designed to connect to the deeper layers of the self. We will slow down and hold poses for several minutes to elongate deep-set tissues in the body. We nurture the mind and calm the heart in a quiet space before we tackle the busy season ahead

Steve’s class is designed to bring the mind, body and soul into alignment, through a series of postures, breath, and meditation, bringing together the power of both the sun and moon energy together.

Rocket Yoga is a powerful and dynamic practice that’s been taken from Series 1 and 2 of Ashtanga Yoga. Classes are fast paced and include arm balances and inversions

Rocket

Saturday mornings Rocket class is a little gentler than the weekday classes. It still has all the Rocket vibes but with just at little less intensity at the moment, as we take a little more time learning and breaking down some of the postures. So if you would like to try Rocket this is a good class to start with, but still recommend some previous yoga experience before hand.

Nourishing Yoga

Unravel from the week in this gentle yoga class that is designed to give you time to focus to your breath and slow down, allowing the mind and body to feel calmer and clearer. Katie will lead you through a series of postures that will mobilise, stretch and strengthen you and help to build the connection to your mind, body, soul and breath.

Pregnancy yoga

A lovely class for Mamas To Be.

Prenatal Yoga allows time to draw your attention inwards - to focus and contect your own mind and body, bond with your growing baby and also connect with other mums to be, within the community.
Within the group you are welcome to share pregnancy joys, concerns you might have and even your birthing plan!
Through pregnancy safe Yoga postures, breathing and relaxation techniques, you can stay toned, flexible, build strength and prepare the mind and body for labour and birth.

Pregnancy Yoga is suitable for all levels,  from beginners to experienced practitioners of Yoga. We recommend attending Pregnancy Yoga after your 12 week scan and you can continue to practise up until labour, providing your GP or midwife have not advised against it.
