This months Meditation Workshop will be themed around how meditation can help with, stress, anxiety and avoiding burn out.
In the traditions of yoga, meditation used to have a key role and was seen as being the higher practice to posture work. This is a very practical workshop but we will also look into the background of meditation and draw on the history of different yoga traditions for our practices.
We will begin with yoga and breath work specifically designed to help calm the mind and refresh the body ready to sit for meditation. We will then practice seated meditation, including different postures to sit in, different points of focus, and a guided meditation, before concluding the practice with a discussion/ question and answer session and instructions for home practice.
Learning how to meditate and sustaining your practice are key skills for a full and rich life. This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience in yoga and meditation, including complete beginners, and is extremely complimentary to your yoga practice.
